House of Bystander Studio and Gallery are thrilled to be part of Manchester Art Fair 2024. This one of a kind creative hub was founded by artist Jack Lloyd in 2010. Nestled in leafy and vibrant Chorlton Manchester, HOB offers a warm welcome to new and established art collectors. Home to Jack’s unique, eye-catching collection of photo collages, HOB specialises in stunning and affordable contemporary featuring original art alongside signed limited edition prints. Within the serene ambiance of the six gallery viewing spaces and sculpture courtyard with a fused glass pond, you can explore our ever expanding art collection, and we are confident we will find something that truly resonates with you.

Jack coined the name House of Bystander, because it speaks to the ways we experience the environments which shape us, whether they are iconic cityscapes or much loved local treasures. Within his collection of over 200 location based photo-collages Jack captures the vibrant atmospheres of Manchester, Paris and New York, conjuring a kaleidoscope of moods from joyfully elegant to swaggeringly moody. The prints can also be adapted to offer a personal touch that is sure to delight. Our bespoke artisanal frames are custom made in the workshop, adding the perfect hand finished touches to your artwork.

Alongside Jack’s art and commissions, is The HOB Art Collection - a handpicked selection of contemporary local, national and international artists showcased in our gallery six days a week. This evolving collection is curated to reflect current trends as well as support cutting edge local artists. In the stunning courtyard you will find Creative Recycling - our artists in residence, crafting inspiring contemporary art and sharing their expertise in their wonderful craft courses.
